The Exeter Township Police Department conducts a competitive written test for police applicants on an as needed basis. Applications will be available on-line when a test has been announced. Check our web site periodically to see if applications are being accepted.
In addition to the written exam, candidates need to pass a physical agility test and undergo an interview process conducted by a Exeter Township personnel. Additionally, candidates must undergo an extensive background investigation, as well as medical and psychological examinations.
Newly hired officers without approved police training (Act 120) must attend a recognized police academy at the Department’s expense. All uniforms and equipment are provided by the Police Department and are maintained by the officer.
